The historic decision of the Central Government regarding Jammu and Kashmir has been approved by President Ram Nath Kovind. Article 370 has been made ineffective in Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have been made two Union Territories. Section 144 is still in force in the valley and a large number of security personnel are deployed. However, in the meantime, the situation is becoming normal in Srinagar.
